Father’s Day falls on the first Sunday in September, and with some thoughtful planning, it can be a day to celebrate the men in our Playgroup and church communities. How can we make Father’s Day more inclusive? Open crafts that allow children to decorate as they wish and encouraging the use of ‘I Love You’ or ‘You’re the Best!’ (rather than more ‘Dad’ specific terms) are easy ways to get everyone involved. Consider making something for a Special person or a Grandparent if a father isn’t present.
