Guest Speaker: Rev Kimberly Smith

We are very pleased to say that the Rev Kimberly Smith will be our special guest speaker for our CPN Celebration evening and AGM. Kimberly is currently serving as the Generations and Emerging Leaders Pastor on the Baptist Union of Victoria’s Pastoral Leadership Support & Development Team.  She invests in Pastors and Leaders in Generations ministries, and encouragement of our churches to be thinking and acting generationally. She draws on over 14 years of experience as an Associate Pastor (Generations and Church Life) at Werribee Baptist Church to offer support, resource and teaching. She is a gifted preacher, writer, and training facilitator. Kimberly is not only familiar and experienced with leading playgroups and teams of volunteers, but she is very passionate about helping leaders and teams of leaders to grow and thrive.

Kim will share some of her wisdom and experience to help our playgroup teams of any size to grow healthier both spiritually and practically. She will help us to think about ways that we can make our team meetings more fruitful, develop a healthy feedback culture to enhance the experience for all and invite us to think about thriving rather than simply surviving. We all know that at times there’s so much to do and not necessarily many people to do it so we hope that some of the tips Kimberly shares will help us in some way. We look forward to also spending time in discussion with Kimberly as we come together as leaders of playgroups of all shapes and sizes that want to show God’s love and care to families and their children.

 

Annual General Meeting

As part of the night we will be holding our 2025 Annual General Meeting. The CPN holds this gathering of the CPN member churches once a year. It is an opportunity to hear and to discuss finances, elect the CPN Committee for the next 12 months and approve important decisions around how the CPN serves our churches.
