Celebrating Playgroup with Your Stories
Taste and see that the Lord is good was the theme of our 2020 AGM.
As COVID-19 restrictions tightened in Victoria, we planned for our first ever AGM online.
We wanted our AGM to celebrate the many ways that our members had been adapting to the evolving circumstances of 2020.
As the opening paragraph of the Committee Report said, “What a year 2020 has been! As we find ourselves in the midst of these challenging times, we know that many of you are working tirelessly to support your local playgroup families. Being online wasn’t going to stop us sharing stories and celebrating God’s goodness.
We sent out a celebration pack in the post … and prayed that they would get there in time. The pack included the Cake in a Mug ‘recipe’ (you are welcome to use this as a resource in your church or playgroup … or this updated generic version: Cake in a Mug Devotional)
Following the recipe, we ‘baked’ our delicious cakes, as we shared in God’s goodness. We ate our cakes as we chatted to each other in small groups and prayed for one another.
Who could have imagined that our first online AGM would have been so much fun, and that we could do so much in just an hour! Of course some of us were enjoying ourselves so much that we stayed online chatting … not saying how long for!
